FAQs

Downtime; Should I take time off work?

EZGel PRF injections have minimal downtime. Some redness, swelling, or mild bruising may occur for 1–3 days, but most patients resume normal activities within 24 hours.

When should I see results?

You may notice immediate volume enhancement, but the real benefits come from collagen stimulation, which improves skin texture and firmness over the next 4–8 weeks. Full results typically develop within 3 months and can last up to a year.

How long will my results last?

Results vary depending on the individual, but most patients enjoy improvements for 6–12 months. Because PRF stimulates your natural collagen production, results improve over time.

How many treatments do I need?

For optimal results, 1–3 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart are recommended. Your provider will customize a treatment plan based on your needs.

How is EZGel PRF different from traditional fillers?

Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, EZGel PRF is 100% natural, derived from your own blood, and stimulates collagen production for long-term benefits. It provides a subtle, natural volume enhancement while also improving skin quality over time.

Does it hurt?

The procedure is well-tolerated, as a numbing cream or local anesthetic is typically applied before injections. Some mild discomfort may be felt during the injections, but it’s generally minimal.

What side effects should I expect?

EZGel PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) injections are a safe and natural treatment since they use your own blood to restore volume and stimulate collagen. However, as with any injectable procedure, some mild side effects may occur, including, swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness or soreness, and temporary lumps or uneven texture. Overall, EZGel PRF is very well-tolerated with minimal side effects, making it an excellent natural alternative to traditional fillers!

Can I get EZGel PRF if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?

EZGel PRF should not be injected while pregnant or breastfeeding.

Pre-treatment instructions

  • Stop taking blood thinners such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), Naproxen (Aleve), and other NSAIDs 3–5 days before treatment, unless prescribed by your doctor.

  • Avoid supplements that increase bruising risk, such as Fish Oil, Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, and Garlic.

  • Drink plenty of water in the 24 hours leading up to your appointment to improve blood circulation and enhance PRF quality.

  • Refrain from alcohol and excessive caffeine 24–48 hours before treatment, as they can contribute to dehydration and increase bruising.

  • Stop smoking or using nicotine products at least 24 hours before treatment, as they can impair healing and affect the quality of your PRF.

  • Since blood will be drawn, eat a nutritious meal with protein before your appointment to avoid dizziness or lightheadedness. Avoid high-sugar meals, as they can affect blood quality.
